For aviation enthusiasts, it’s always a treat to see a biplane fly over. But when you are driving down the interstate and see not one, not two, but several flying ahead, you know something is up.
We were pulling off at the next exit for a break, when we saw it, a make-shift airfield with dozens of Stearman biplanes. We had happened upon the End of the Season Stearman Fly-In in Jennings, Louisiana.
We were on a tight schedule, but I knew I just had to stop and take some photos!
As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types.
