Artist's Description
Most cities have a iconic location that everyone visits when visiting there. For New Orleans, it has to be Jackson Square, a historic park in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. With the St. Louis Cathedral at one end and Cafe Du Monde and Washington Artillery Park at the other, you can not help but stop and appreciate the view. I've never made it inside the cathedral when it was open or at least when I had time to investigate it, but hope to go back and see the inside.
Here, the city lights reflect off the low clouds, giving it a surreal atmosphere in the early hours before dawn. During the day, the street is lined with horse drawn carriages, lots of cars and people milling about everywhere. You can also find local artists showing their creations along sidewalks too.
About Tim Stanley

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types. I strive to give my images a sense of realism, but with a slight edge to pull the viewer into the image. All images are Copyright Tim Stanley Photography. Hey Daniel, that would be great. I always enjoy talking shop or photo outings around town. You have some great shots yourself.

Nice work Tim. I also follow your blog. We should meet and talk photography sometime seeing that we are both in Houston.
