Artist's Description

Many of you might call this London icon Big Ben, but you would be mistaken. Big Ben is the nickname of the great bell inside the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London.

The "Clock Tower" in London was renamed the Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. The tower holds the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world and is the third-tallest free-standing clock tower. It was a real thrill to step out of the subway and look up to see this great and beautiful tower. It was one of my favorite sites while in England.

About Tim Stanley

Tim Stanley

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types. I strive to give my images a sense of realism, but with a slight edge to pull the viewer into the image. All images are Copyright Tim Stanley Photography.
