West of Houston is East Benard. On this night, the sidewalks had long rolled up and all was quite, so we decided to stop and photograph some old store fronts. We were almost ready to leave, when a train came racing through and seemed to wake everything up. A time exposure I was working on didn’t finish until the train was almost gone, so I shot the next best thing. The train had just past when I was able to shoot the crossing arms.

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types.
