Artist's Description

The Texas Medical Center is larger than most cities. It is a city within a city.

Wikipedia says it has...

54 medicine-related institutions, including 21 hospitals and eight specialty institutions, eight academic and research institutions, three medical schools, six nursing schools, and schools of dentistry, public health, pharmacy, and other health-related practices. All 54 institutions are not-for-profit. The center exceeds one thousand acres (or 1.562 square mile).

During the day, these streets are extremely busy. Late at night, things may get very quiet outside, but indoors, people continue to work around the clock. This small slice is the intersection of Dryden and Fannin, looking up at the Baylor College of Medicine Faculty Center and St. Luke's Medical Towers.

About Tim Stanley

Tim Stanley

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types. I strive to give my images a sense of realism, but with a slight edge to pull the viewer into the image. All images are Copyright Tim Stanley Photography.
