These rustic red barns are part of the historic home on Last Dollar Road above Ridgeway, Colorado, where portions of the movie True Grit, starring John Wayne, was filmed. The zig-zag fence line in the top left is where Wayne performed his famous 4 rail horse jump in the closing scene of the movie. Though the "Mattie Ross's Ranch House" is private property, you are welcomed view the area from the road and enjoy a view of this iconic scene from one of America's favorite western films.Wooden fences create geometric patterns across the grassy fields, adding depth and structure to the scene.
