Like many older cities, Paris has its historical part of downtown and the more modern sections. This view of downtown Paris is from the Montparnasse Tower. At 59 stories, it's the only modern building in the historical part of Paris, which stands out from most other buildings at six stories. Though it was late in the afternoon when we arrived, it was still hours until sunset.

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types.
