A vibrant, rust-colored bacterial mat surrounds the Grand Prismatic hot spring under a cloudy sky. The geothermal feature emits a mist that softly blankets the surrounding pine forest. Located in the Midway Geyser Basin, it is one of the most unique attractions at Yellowstone National Park. It's the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. The walk around the spring is quite unique. You haven't been to Yellowstone until you've seen this spectacle.

As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types.
