A vibrant geothermal pool emits steam, nestled in an expansive landscape of multicolored mineral-rich earth, with evergreen trees in the foreground. The bright blue center of the pool stands out against the orange and brown hues of the surrounding ground, under a wide sky with wispy clouds. One of the most unique attractions at Yellowstone National Park is the Grand Prismatic Spring, located in the Midway Geyser Basin. It's the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. The hike to the top vantage point gives the best view of the entire spring, and you haven't bee to Yellowstone until you've seen this spectacle.
As a young boy, I borrowed my parent's Kodak 126 film camera with flash cubes on a field trip to NASA. Needless to say, my pictures did not come out at all like I had hoped. That started me on my photo journey through high school and beyond. I continue to learn as I feed this growing passion for photography of all types. I strive to give my images a sense of realism, but with a slight edge to pull the viewer into the image. All images are Copyright Tim Stanley Photography.
